There is something I can do, in and of myself, to
live the best and happiest life. My life will be great if I can be the person I
am supposed to be, I just need to keep trying. I can’t ask for help, if I do I
am admitting I’m unable to do it and am a failure. Show the façade to everyone because if they
know who I really am they won’t love or accept me.
I will be truly happy, have love, and security, if I…..
- Have the right friends.
- Wear the right clothes.
- Look good.
- Say the right things.
- Am successful at whatever activity I am involved in.
- Am a good daughter, friend, student, wife, mother, Christian, employee, neighbor…
- Control myself.
- Control other people.
- Eat yummy food.
- Do fun activities/hobbies/entertainment.
- Make other people happy.
- Forget my story and try to believe something else is true.
- Blame everyone else for the pain in my life.
- Have a great testimony.
- Go to church.
- Have someone to like or love me.
- Get to do what I want to do.
THESE ARE LIES I HAVE BELIEVED and still struggle with!!! I didn’t know they were lies until I couldn’t do the show anymore. I was too exhausted from failing at all I thought was supposed to make things right. The lies may have brought temporary happiness, love, and security but at the end of me, they were not enough. I couldn’t go on. My strength was gone. I was either going to die mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically or God was going to have to show me another way. I COULD’NT do it!
Heavenly Father,
Thank you that
You expose lies through Your Word. Help us to know the truth. Set us free. (1) Pierce our lives through with Your Word, revealing
the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. (2)
Apart from Christ we can do nothing. (3) Help us. We can identify the lies and face
the truth through Christ’s strength. (4) Teach us your ways so we can walk in your
truth. (5)
We are weary from the lies and need your rest. Expose the lies and help us to
learn from Jesus where to go from here. (6) Help
us to be confident that the good work You began in us, You will perfect until Christ
returns. (7) Thank
you that we are in the process of being made holy by You. (8) Help
us watch out for our enemy the devil trying to devour us. (9) Help
us to decipher between his lies and Your Truth! Help us to see our enemy and
the lies for what they really are. ( 10) Help us to actively listen to You through
your Word, prayer, and all the circumstances and people you allow in our lives.
(11, 12)
Give us all a repentance that leads to a knowledge of the truth, so that we
will come to our senses and escape the traps of the devil. (13) Thank
you God that we can do exceedingly, abundantly, beyond all that we are asking
or can imagine through the power that is at work within us, the Holy Spirit. To
You be the glory in (us) the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all
generations, forever and ever. (14)
In
Jesus Name,
Amen!
